Dr. Pranita Institute of Health Sciences, Ranchi and School of Nursing are located in the same sprawling campus in Ranchi. The college was established in the year 2022. Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery [ANM] (Nursing)
ANM or Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery is primarily a diploma course, focusing on the study of the health of mankind. Besides, while learning this course, candidates are also taught about the Operation Theatre, its functioning, various types of equipment, and how to handle them. The significant motive of the ANM course is to train the candidates in functioning as basic health workers in society and give treatment to children, women, and aged people.
Eligibility : 10+2 ( Science)

General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)
Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a three-year programme aimed to prepare students to work effectively as members of the health team. This job-oriented programme comprises subjects like Nursing Fundamentals Anatomy & Physiology Psychology Biology Sociology and First Aid.
The programme trains students to closely assess the nursing need of the patients, monitor the condition of patients, provide effective nursing care and assist the doctors in surgical procedures. The students learn to set up medical equipment in operation theatres and adeptly handle patients during emergency situations.
The aspirants are additionally trained to be job-ready by imbibing computer and interpersonal skills which help them in advancing their role. After successful completion of the programme the students are enrolled for an internship that enables them to directly gain hands-on experience in esteemed organisations. Through a culture of patient-first the students are encouraged to possess unique qualities of character and spirit.

B. Sc. Nursing
B. Sc. Nursing is a four-year undergraduate programme focused on developing critical care, advanced thinking skills, proficiency and values necessary for the practice of professional nursing and midwifery as mentioned in the National Health Policy 2002. The programme is streamlined to enable students to address the health needs of the nation, society and individuals.The programme prepares students to become responsible citizens by following a code of moral values and conduct at all times while fulfilling personal, social and professional responsibilities to respond to national objectives. B. Sc. Nursing programme involves classroom study, projects and assignments that enable students to gain practical knowledge of their learning. After the completion of the programme, the students are required to undergo a six-month internship to experience real-world clinical settings and learn from them. Candidates looking for more knowledge in the same field may pursue higher education for challenging career opportunities.
